8 Masterpieces – 2015 Fall Gallery

June 26th, 2016

UPDATE:   I regret to report that Jeremy at Mainfraim has verified that mice have eaten 7 of the 8 masterpieces from last year’s Fall gallery of unoriginal work that was produced throughout 2015. 1 piece exists, which sold. To the buyer: It is not in danger of being destroyed by mice, because it was the only piece of art that didn’t contain delicious, carefully attached, polycrylic-soaked fast food. Thank you to the buyer for being the sole owner of a purchased piece of art that mice can’t enjoy, and thank you to Mainfraim for handling a recyclable pile of creative litter—something I specialize in producing.

Revealed a new series of work this past weekend that kept me busy throughout the bulk of some late summer nights this year. “8 Masterpieces” or “Welcome to Rockford, IL– Eat Shit” was revealed on October 2nd and 3rd, 2015, at Fraim & Mortar / Mainfraim in Rockford, IL, alongside many incredibly talented artists.

NOTE: Many of these masterpieces will not last more than 20 years due to the mixed media contents–er–processed fast foods. However, I did add many layers of water-based polycrylic and polyurethane coatings on each piece (after eating the other halves).

  • I’ve ensured that the burger and fries will last forever, but beef and sausage will not. Science will not allow Portillo’s processed foods to last forever. #LaughsOutLouds = lol
  • The chemicals that are pre-processed in the foods may prove to allow these masterpieces to live forever—in many cases, longer than the human body. #LaughsOutLouds = lol
  • There are no guarantees in life, therefore, there are no guarantees in art. Yet again:  #LaughsOutLouds = lol

If you’re looking for amazing custom work, framing, and incredible inspiration, please check out Mainfraim in Rockford, IL. Thank you, Jeremy, Carmen, and everyone who put on a wonderful show.

Ok, internet, bye bye. Sever your snakes and pet puppies,

AW
