Designing Garbage 101: “Dust Radio: A Film About Chris Whitley”

Designing Garbage 101: The Pimps | The Sons of Many Bitches

Anything goes with The Pimps who also perform as the country-punk outfit, Sons of Many Bitches. There is nothing too crazy they won’t go for or think of themselves.  At times I wonder why they stayed in Rockford, IL too.  They’re too good of musicians for it and very well under-appreciated by the local scene.  One of the great punk bands to rise out of Rockford, IL- ever.  If they weren’t so self-depreciating or funny they’d have more opportunities to get the f*ck out of the midwest.  They’re super nice guys and amazing musicians who deserve much more than Rockford, IL.  One of the last remaining DIY bands who actually get in a van, drive themselves, sell their own merch and support each other like a family rather than like a user hiring suckers to play for pennies and beer which is how most so-called bands and label bands run their ships now anyway.  Not The Pimps.

NOTE: the date on this poster has been changed to early March.  Revisions are the death of accuracy.

The snow then arrived like every year, 4am, with film and flash. Continue reading
